What city should be the main start city?

Glendale, AZ Where the University of Phoenix Stadium (AZ Cardinals) is, and it holds several city events; Glendale Glitters, etc. Has a great place called "Westgate City Center" that can be used as a place for events as well.

Mesa, AZ A community known for its community events, has a new Center for the Arts facility, is looking to get involved in larger events.

Phoenix, AZ Large city with a lot of people, hosts both the Phoenix Suns and AZ Diamondbacks sports stadiums

Scottsdale, AZ Where a lot of events are held; Culinary Festival, Fashion Week, and other VIP style events. Also, is the mecca of the night life in the Valley. Largest gold event is held here.

Tempe, AZ Center of lakeside events such as the 4th of July celebration, Tempe Festival for the Arts, Tempe Music Festival, Oktoberfest, and other community events. Hosts the Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party and home of Arizona State University.

Tucson, AZ Hosts the El Tour de Tucson and is really bike friendly. Home of the University of Arizona, and is in the process of upgrading downtown Tucson and has a great suburb area east of the main city.
