Who is the best football goalkeeper?
Dida (AC Milan and Brazil)
Dida is a two-time winner of the UEFA Champions League. Dida is a five-time nominee of the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper Award. He was also the first Brazilian keeper ever to be nominated for the Ballon d'Or, doing so twice in 2003 and 2005. On 15 January 2008, he was ranked 13th out of 70 nominees in IFFHS' All-Time World Goalkeeper Ranking from 1987 to 2007.
Edwin van der Saar (Manchester United and Netherlands)
Edwin is the Netherlands national football team's most capped player of all time. Van der Sar started his senior career with Ajax and remained there for nine years before moving to Italian club Juventus and then to England, first to Fulham and then to Manchester United. He is one of the few footballers to have won the UEFA Champions League with two different teams, having won it with Ajax in 1995 and Manchester United in 2008, the latter where he was named UEFA Man of the match.
Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus and Italy)
Buffon is an Italian FIFA World Cup, UEFA Cup, and Serie A winning goalkeeper. He is considered by many fans and experts to be one of most dominant and successful goalkeepers in recent history. Buffon was declared by Pelé to be one of the 125 greatest living footballers in the world, and has also been named the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year a record nine times.
Iker Casillas (Real Madrid and Spain)
Iker is currently first-choice goalkeeper for both club and country and serves as a vice captain for his club. As captain of the national side, he led a young Spanish team to their first European Championship in 44 years, his first senior international honour. Since bursting onto the scene as a teenager, Casillas has been recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe, illustrated by the many awards he has received.
Julio Cesar (Inter Milan and Brazil)
He is also currently the first-choice goalkeeper for the Brazilian national team, having won 47 international caps. In 2009, IFFHS named him as the third best goalkeeper in the world, behind only the Spanish Iker Casillas and the Italian Gianluigi Buffon. He was also awarded the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year title in 2009, ahead of Buffon of Juventus and Federico Marchetti of Cagliari. He was also nominated for the 2009 Ballon d'Or.

Reina has set a number of goalkeeping records for Liverpool and he won the Premier League Golden Glove award for clean sheets in his first three seasons at the club.
Peter Cech (Chelsea and Czech Republic)
Cec was voted into the all-star team of Euro 2004 after helping his country reach the semi-finals. Čech also received the individual award of Best Goalkeeper in the 2004/2005, 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 seasons of the UEFA Champions League. He currently holds the Premiership record for fewest appearances required to reach 100 clean sheets, having done so in 180 league appearances. He also holds a Czech professional league record of not conceding a goal in 855 competitive minutes.
Victor Valdes (Barcelona and Spain)
Valdes is the most successful goalkeeper in Barcelona's history, having won 3 La Liga titles, 2 UEFA Champions League titles, and 1 Copa del Rey.
